Augmented and Virtual Reality Design
In Build Our Galaxy, users step into the otherworldly role of an alien aboard a futuristic spaceship. Set within a Virtual Reality environment, the experience challenges players to reconstruct our solar system using a holographic interface. The player is given a star and nine planets, which must be arranged in their correct order. With only the ship’s artificial intelligence, EVE, providing verbal clues, players must listen carefully and think critically to piece the celestial puzzle together. Each correct placement projects the planet or star into the vastness of space, gradually revealing a complete, immersive cosmic vista.
Designed as part of a specialized elective exploring learning through VR and AR, this project targets younger audiences by blending play and education. It offers an intuitive and engaging way to teach planetary order and basic astronomy through interaction and discovery. By transforming the player into an alien explorer, the game adds a playful twist to traditional learning, encouraging curiosity and attention to detail. Developed under the guidance of 3Spin, a leader in immersive experiences, Build Our Galaxy succeeds in delivering a fun, informative, and visually striking educational tool for all ages.
