Long before film reels and digital screens, light held the secrets of storytelling. In a world where magic was once part of everyday life, the Magic Lantern stood as a beacon—its illuminated images breathing wonder into the darkness. This VR experience revives the Magic Lantern, the ancestor of the film projector, taking users on a journey through history and myth. With light as its source of power and lenses as its guide, the lantern served not just to entertain, but to transform reality, giving form to imagination in ways that still resonate today.
As technology evolved, the harmony between magic and industry faded. Yet, a group of visionary scientists once harnessed the power of the Magic Lantern to travel through space and time. In this immersive experience, the lantern’s light expands into 3D virtual worlds, offering visitors a chance to walk inside projected illusions. By integrating this with the Film Museum, the project brings historic media into the realm of cutting-edge innovation, creating an engaging destination for younger audiences and rekindling curiosity for the cinematic magic that started it all.
